Bright On Capital is a fintech company that operates an online peer-to-peer enterprise-lending platform, which enables SMEs to quickly and simply access affordable working capital funding from a wide range of traditional and non-traditional lenders, including developmental funding institutions, corporate ESD funds, and other institutional investors. Our funding partners currently include organisations such Glencore, Rand Merchant Investments (“RMI”) and African Bank.

Our core objectives are simple, but very important to us. Bright On Capital seeks to:

Expand access funding for SMEs;
Deepen the pools of capital available to SMEs;
Reduce the asymmetries of information surrounding SME funding; and
Reduce the overall cost of funding for SMEs.

We provide a range of innovative supply chain funding solutions to entrepreneur-led emerging SMEs with sustainable growth prospects. Our SME clients, through our online platform, can access revolving working capital facilities of up to R2,5 million to execute on procurement opportunities sourced from qualifying large organisations.

We focus on funding emerging SMEs that have:

Been trading for less than 5 years
Typically generated less than R10 million of revenue per annum
Track record of supplying goods and services to corporate and public sector entities, and
Limited access to tangible security to offer traditional funders

Bright On Capital is seeking to scale its SME lending book, which requires us to strengthen our team. As such, we are looking to recruit talented individuals who are excited and passionate about SME lending, and the role fintechs can play in accelerating SME growth and development.
